Will You Run for President?
- WORKING NAME
- Project President
- GENRE
- Political fiction, Romance.
- LOGLINE
- Will a 33-year-old wigged candidate run for President?
- SYNOPSIS
- Luke Daniels has the talent and resume that could qualify him for President
of the United States. He is a West Point graduate, has worked as a general’s
aide, and has become a successful professor at the University of Connecticut.
He has the contacts and speaking ability to make him a legitimate threat to
the political parties, as a handsome and intelligent history buff who knows
many flukes in the political process. However, neither he, nor his wife, Savannah,
are interested in the White House.
As a professor, he wears a white wig during his lectures.
The publicity stunt works as the perfect motivator for his students studying
American political history.
Luke’s enthusiasm inadvertently inspires his students
to try to make him a candidate for President. A surprise campaign rally pressures
him to fly to Iowa and to learn more about the Iowa caucus system—the
first step in becoming President. The folks in Iowa teach him how he could
defeat President Bush, with a last-minute announcement. But can he win as
a 33-year-old candidate, when the Constitution seems to make him ineligible
to run for President of the United States?

Nate is a young Wall Street research analyst. Rita is a geneticist at a small
biotech firm analyzing fish D.N.A. Harland works in the Pentagon, reviewing
nearly abandoned 30-year-old files. Sandra leads a government watchdog group,
spending most of her time researching wasteful spending. Why would the government
chase after a group of complete strangers?
Eventually, the research effort for a story about retirement
planning triggers warning lights to flash in the hidden offices of the Homeland
Security Agency. Soon, someone tries to kill Harland, leading the group to
flee for their lives. Labeled as bio-terrorists, they are wanted dead or alive.
But why?
Unbeknownst to them, they possess information about a top secret program rooted
in the history of the Marshall Islands——information that could
alter the future of mankind. In time, they learn the answers to secrets about
questions they did not previously know to ask.
Can people become biological terrorists, and not even know
it? Can strangers become co-conspirators, without ever holding ill thoughts
towards the United States government?
As Nate, Sandra, Harland, Rita, and Gabe make their run,
Homeland Security agents realize they can't catch them from spreading the
coded information in Project M.I.X.——the government's most secret
program. If the Agency can't stop the "terrorists," can they at
least stop the terror?

Shakergate
- WORKING NAME
- Project Shakergate
- GENRE
- Political fiction.
- LOGLINE
- Print the truth and raise hell.
- SYNOPSIS
- Shakergate, Maryland was designed in 1893 as a “planned community,”
bordering Washington, D.C. Railroad racks divided the lower, middle, and upper
classes into segregated neighborhoods. When only Wasps lived in Shakergate,
it was America’s wealthiest town —— so powerful it rerouted
a highway.
In 2024, Shakergate is mostly Black and Jewish, ruled by
liberal, Democratic women who welcome any person regardless of “her
or his” background. The schools embrace voluntary busing, a gay pig
represents equality, and the United States Constitution is "modernized."
A conservative newspaper editor moves into Shakergate to
“print the truth and raise hell.” He discovers unspoken secrets:
Bodies are missing from a cemetery, bureaucracy barriers exclude Blacks, and
a young girl’s murder remains unsolved despite rumors that a ghost searches
for a buried knife. The editor runs for mayor, promising to knock on every
door —— from the poorest to the richest. People begin to reveal
their secrets, even though . . . Big Sister is watching.
