Daniel
R. Vovak is the producer and ghostwriter of Greenwich Creations, a firm
specializing in ghostwritten movies and books for appealing clients. He was
the senior editor for Greenwich Post (Greenwich, Connecticut) and Movers
& Shakers (Shaker Heights, Ohio), where he was a member of the Press
Club of Cleveland. He has appeared in the United States through hundreds of
media outlets, including major newspaper articles in Washington Post,
Associated Press, New Hampshire Union Leader, Chicago
Tribune, Baltimore Sun, and Sioux City Journal, in addition
to significant television appearances on NBC, MSNBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, and PBS.
He also once hosted a radio talk show on WGCH 1490 AM.
Vovak, born on May 15, 1972, is a prolific writer, whose works include hundreds of newspaper articles, several manuscripts, a published book: Will You Run for President?, and In Development movies: Bill and the Silk Box, Redeeming Stella, Unsilent Partner, and Whereabouts Unknown. Vovak's most prestigious ghostwriting client was the wife of David Stockman, President Ronald Reagan's budget chief. Other past writing projects include a corporate history manuscript for Charles Urstadt (C.E.O. of Urstadt Biddle Properties), and a manuscript for New York socialite Natalie Pray. In 2002, he founded the company in Greenwich, Connecticut, and moved it to Washington, D.C. in 2004. He now leads the Washington, D.C. Film Society, Discussion Group.
Vovak was raised as the oldest of five boys in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. At age 12, he began a personal journal, which is now 14,000 pages. He earned his B.A. at the age of 20 from Baldwin-Wallace College, majoring in Business, Psychology, and Communications — the youngest student in B-W history to graduate with three majors. Vovak maintains an office in Bathesda, Maryland, near Washington, D.C.
Dianna
Yakobson is the creative director for Greenwich Creations and works closely
with Mr. Vovak, assisting him through difficult plot twists that often need
a creative perspective to please customers. Dianna is a former graphic designer
for the Reston Observer and for Russian Connection. She was
educated in Moscow, and later studied graphic arts at Northern Virginia Community
College.
Heidi Oppermann is our content editor and has worked with Mr. Vovak since 2002, shortly after he founded the company. She reviews each production or publication before it is usually shipped to Hollywood or New York. After two years of dialysis in 1992 following a kidney transplant, she also keeps busy with gardening, needlework, playing organ in a church, and pursuing her on-going passion of being a self-taught historian of the Gilded Age and its architecture. Mr. Vovak appreciates her work nitpicking plot holes and details that escaped other writers and the creative director. Because of Heidi, everyone at Greenwich Creations shines.
Katrina
van Tassell is the business consultant for Greenwich Creations. Since
2002, she and Mr. Vovak have discussed various business issues, developing the
company from its initial growth stage into its current organizational structure.
She also is the publisher of Armonk
Magazine in Westchester County, New York.
Rich Tomasso is a man of many talents. He is not only a writer of fantasy and science fiction, but is also the technical advisor for Greenwich Creations, working with Mr. Vovak on various projects since 2004. He is especially geared for this position because he is also webmaster for Greenwich Creations, programming the company's website: GreenwichCreations.com. Rich's work is mostly in the background, though every company needs a qualified computer geek who presents a stellar public image through the Internet.
